Fresh approach to touch-screen orders works with existing EPOS tills
YORK, ENGLAND – JANUARY 15, 2010 – RedBlack Software has launched CyBake Touch, a brand-new shop ordering software application for retail bakers.
CyBake Touch is a low-cost stand-alone product designed to reduce shop waste and maximise sales. It is sold entirely separately from RedBlack's popular flagship CyBake 3 bakery management system. The CyBake Touch solution can be installed on any Windows-driven touch-screen EPOS hardware. CyBake Touch links with the EPOS software already installed on retailers' till systems and works with any head office business applications.
"CyBake Touch allows the shop to put in its own orders, so you will almost certainly reduce the admin at head office," explains Martin Coyle, sales manager at RedBlack Software. "Instead of having several head office staff phoning shops for their orders, the shop manager can just key what they want into the system."
Shops can key-in their orders directly and confirm deliveries. If a product is over- or under-delivered, head office is told via CyBake Touch. Real-time communication is achieved via broadband to a CyBake Touch control module installed at head office and customised to a bakery's own needs. The module interacts with any ERP/business management system including, of course, CyBake 3 and RedBlack Software promises a smooth, interruption-free implementation.
"Not only does CyBake Touch save a lot of administration time at head office, it can help inject intelligence into the ordering process," says Coyle. "Instead of simply keying in numbers, staff at head office can assess the order and ask: 'Does this make sense?'. Staff can be used to tighten up on over- and under-ordering and boost each outlet's profits. It's an entirely new approach in the industry because CyBake Touch doesn’t replace your current EPOS or business management software."
